Colorado's beautiful mountain elevation can take a little getting used to, especially if you're visiting from lower elevations. To help you feel your best all weekend, be sure to drink plenty of water, stay well hydrated, take it easy if you need to, and pace yourself with alcohol—especially on your first day. A little extra hydration goes a long way, and we want everyone feeling great as we celebrate together! The wedding venue and host hotel are further into the mountains, sitting at 7,526 feet with Denver sitting at 5,280 feet. We encourage additional acclimation time spent in Denver if altitude is a concern of yours.

YES! There will be a welcome party Friday night, an after-party Saturday night and a brunch Sunday morning all at Ameristar the host hotel.

If you're driving, limited, complimentary parking is available at the venue. For guests staying at our host hotel, The Ameristar in Black Hawk, we'll be providing transportation to & from the venue, so you can relax and enjoy the celebration without worrying about the drive. We look forward to celebrating with you!

June in Colorado is typically warm and sunny during the day, with cooler evenings. We recommend bringing a light jacket or wrap for after sunset.

Yes! We'd love for you to join us on Friday evening for a relaxed Welcome Gathering at our host hotel, The Ameristar in Black Hawk. We'll be gathering at one of the hotel's outdoor bar and lounge areas to kick off the weekend and spend time with everyone before the big day. Additional details—including the time and any other information—will be shared as they are finalized. We hope you'll stop by to say hello and help us start the celebration!

We love your kids—we really do! But for our wedding weekend, we've decided to keep the festivities just for the grown-ups. Think of it as the perfect excuse for a date night or a well-deserved weekend away! Thank you for understanding, and we can't wait to celebrate with you.

Denver International Airport is located on the eastern side of Colorado with the wedding festivities taking place a bit to the west. There are many transportation options including Uber, public transit (RTD bus and train), Turo (Airbnb for cars), and rental car options. Plan accordingly and know that the host hotel, The Ameristar in Black Hawk, is a little over an hour drive from the airport.

We want everyone to have a wonderful time celebrating with us! Since we’ll be gathering in the beautiful Colorado mountains, we kindly ask everyone to help us respect the venue’s guidelines and the surrounding environment. Our venue does not permit marijuana-based products on the property, and we appreciate everyone’s understanding and cooperation. Due to the dry mountain climate and fire safety concerns, we also kindly ask guests to be respectful with their smoking so we can all enjoy this wedding weekend.
